Welcome to Camberley Cricket Club

Camberley Cricket Club was established in 1944 originally playing home fixtures at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst before moving to our existing home at Verran Road in 1950.  Numerous investments and improvements to our ground have been made over the past six decades making this facility one of best in Surrey and the envy of most clubs in the county.

We have the ambition and resources to be regarded as one of Surrey’s premier cricket clubs.  Provided we manage our assets and potential correctly, we believe that the Club should be a major force in Surrey cricket for years to come.

We welcome all new members to our club, be they potential new players of any age or ability or those that are simply looking for a friendly and social environment to share a drink or two.  If you enjoy cricket, either by playing or watching, feel free to visit Verran Road. We are located some 40 minutes to the south-west of London with most of our cricket played in and around south London.  On Saturday’s the club fields four XI’s; the 1st and 2nd teams compete in the county’s primary competition The Surrey Championship, with the 3rd XI competing in the Surrey County League and an occasional 4th XI offering “friendly” less competitive cricket. 

On Sunday’s we field two teams in the local Three Counties Competition and one in the Surrey Trust Development League for the sole purpose of developing our junior cricketers.  During the week our Colts compete in various leagues with age groups ranging from Under 9’s to Under 17’s.

In partnership with Surrey Heath Borough Council and Kings International College, Camberley Cricket Club is uniquely placed as one of the few clubs of our level to have made an investment in an indoor net facility thus allowing our members regular access to indoor practice.  Building on these relationships, the Club is looking to further strengthen our ties with the community, by promoting the use of our facilities for cricketing and social events involving our local schools and businesses.

Having invested in the indoor nets facility and secured a ten year tenure for a significant number of free of charge hours, we are perfectly placed to build upon the infrastructure in place; excellent playing facilities, an indoor training facility and an ever-increasing number of juniors within our Colts section. We offer ECB level coaching to both our Senior and Colts members throughout the year, professionally run and managed by our Club Coaches.

This presents us with a great opportunity to establish some long term plans for the future development of the Club and to focus on our now established cricketing “academy”, in the form of standard Colts training, a Youth Foundation and the “Development of Excellence” programme.  The long term benefits of which, being to attract and develop the best young talent in the area. 

Off the field, the Club has an excellent Function Room available for hire, catering up to 120 people.  Should you be looking to run a social or business event, then please consider Camberley Cricket Club as a potential venue.
